Fast Friday 29 - A Whole Lot of Lovely

I was instantly drawn to the gorgeous A Whole Lot of Lovely hostess set from this year's catalogue and had the perfect occasion to use it when I created a special thank you for a friend who had gone above and beyond. Because the stamped greeting is quite large and ornate, I felt the background needed to be simple, so I used the abstract side from one of the sheets from the Pretty Petals DSP stack.

You can see here that I used some bling to highlight the centre of the flowers:

And this time I didn't forget to take a photo of the inside - where I used another of the images from the stamp set - the words said it for me!

To make this project you will need:

Cardstock/Paper: Basic Black, Pacific Point, Pretty Petals DSP Stack  Stamps: A Whole Lot of Lovely (Hostess 2015/16)  Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Pacific Point, Old Olive  Tools/Accessories: Rhinestones, Stampin' Dimensionals, Silver Metallic Thread, Floral Frames Collection Framelits, 2½" Circle Punch

You're a Star!

I needed to make a card for a really special person to say thank you for what they had done for me in recent months, but also I had to be careful it wasn't too girly. So I took my inspiration from the bottle bag which I used for the accompanying gift.

It was a bit fiddly trying to get all the small pieces stuck down but I am pleased with the end result! And the words from the Pictogram Punches set sum up my feelings exactly! I just hope the recipient liked the card (I know he liked the bottle!)

Here's the bottle bag that inspired the card:

To make this project you will need:

Cardstock/Paper: Crumb Cake, Night of Navy, Pool Party, Whisper White, Brushed Gold (retired)  Stamps: Pictogram Punches  Ink: Night of Navy  Tools/Accessories: Confetti Stars Border Punch, Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack, Stampin Dimensionsals, Tombow glue

I hope you can see that you can take inspiration from anywhere! Remember you can order from my online shop 24/7 or if you prefer contact me directly.

Fast Friday 28 - Watercolor Wings

I needed to make some cards for customers recently to thank them for their order and I was dying to use the two-step stamp set (well actually three-step with this particular set!) Watercolor Wings.

Here's what I came up with:

I even had time to stamp inside the card and the back of the envelope flap (but forgot to take a photo!)

To make this project you will need:

Cardstock/Paper: Whisper White Notecards  Stamps: Watercolor Wings  Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Island Indigo, Bermuda Bay, Pool Party

Come back next week, when I will have a two stepped up versions using this stamp set. Remember you can order from my online shop 24/7 or if you prefer contact me directly.

Fast Friday 27 - You've Got This

I was checking my calendar the other day to discover I needed 6 bithday cards for friends wihin the next week - eek! So needed something quick, simple but still stunning.  So I reached for the You've Got This stamp set from the new 2015/16 annual Stampin' Up! catalogue. I also used the new Birthday Blossoms set for the greetings.

Here's what I came up with:

I even had time to stamp inside the card and the back of the envelope flap!

I then decided to do it in different colour scheme. What do you think? I still think I prefer the Real Red version, but the Rich Razzleberry is a close second!

The funny thing with this stamp set is that I wasn't that keen on it when I could have purchased it on pre-order (one of the perks of being a demo - contact me to find out details as there is a fab recruiting deal on until 30 June), but then I saw what fellow demos had made using this set and I was totally converted! Amazing the difference when you see things in the flesh (so to speak!)!

To make this project you will need:

Cardstock/Paper: Basic Black, Whisper White, Real Red, Rich Razzleberry, Pool Party  Stamps: You've Got This, Birthday Blossoms  Ink: Black Stazon, Real Red, Rich Razzleberry, Pool Party  Tools/Accessories: Stampin’ Dimensionals

Welcome to those who have joined me from Sue's blog - wasn't her project gorgeous? I just love how she has used the products from the new catalogue!

Two of my must haves when I saw the new catalogue were the Brick Wall embossing folder and the Birthday Blossoms stamp set and straight away I had an idea for a card using both of these gorgeous products and here it is!

Little tip - I stamped and coloured (using the blender pen) the background flowers before I embossed (in actual fact I debossed as that gets the proper effect of a wall).

Other new products used include the Banner Triple Punch which makes cutting banners a breeze. I have also used the new Whisper White Thick Cardstock (270gsm) which is great for card bases.

Have a great weekend but don't forget to stop by Michelle's blog as I know she has a fab project to share with you. Click on the next button below to take a look....

I have some amazing friends who have been helping me out at the moment and I wanted to say thank you to them so turned to the gorgeous Painted Petals stamp set in the Spring/Summer catalogue to come up with this quick and simple but I hope stunning card.

You know how crafters love to use every last scrap? Well you might be wondering where the DSP I have used on the card comes from? Does this photo give you a clue?

Yes that's right I used the inside of the Sale-a-b-ration cover sheet from the Spring/Summer catalogue! Waste not want not!

Pinkies Stampin' Up! Blog Hop - Spring/Summer Seasonal Catalogue 2015

Thank you for joining us on another Pinkies Blog Hop! We're showcasing lots of gorgeous projects using products from the new Stampin' Up!® Spring/Summer Seasonal Catalogue. Simply use the buttons at the end of each post to keep hopping!

Welcome to those who have joined me from Christa's blog - wasn't her project gorgeous? I just love how she has used the products from the new catalogue!

As Valentine’s Day is just under a month away I decided to make a card you could send to your loved one - although in fact this card could be used all year round (why not put it in their lunch box or briefcase)?!

The stamp set I have used is actually called Crazy About You, but it has loads of different phrases that you can mix and match for lots of occasions.

The card size is 7cm by 14.8cm and you can get 3 out of one sheet of A4 cardstock (cut A4 into three 7cm strips and score half way along the long edge at 14.8cm). As it is a non-standard size you could use the envelope punch board to create a custom envelope.

To add a bit of dimension to the card I used crystal effects on my punched out heart and then mounted with Stampin’ Dimensionals – hopefully you can see the glossy sheen in the photo below:

You could also get the same effect (without any drying time) with the heart by using one of the new Itty Bitty Accents Epoxy Stickers which feature in the new Spring/Summer catalogue, but unfortunately I don't have these (YET!) so used Crystal Effects instead.

I hope this card has inspired you to take a look at the fab new products in the gorgeous new catalogue - you can order from my online shop 24/7 or if you prefer contact me directly. And don't forget until 31 March, for every £45 you spend you a choice of free products from the Sale-a-bration brochure.

Have a great weekend but don't forget to stop by Cobi's blog as I know she has a fab project to share with you. Click on the next button below to take a look....

To make this project you will need:

Cardstock/Paper: Basic Black, Whisper White, Brushed Gold  Stamps: Pictogram Punches, Crazy About You  Ink: Black Stazon  Tools/Accessories: Stacked with Love Washi Tape, Crystal Effects, Rhinestones, Stampin’ Dimensionals, Heart Punch from Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack
